The Rompetrol Group, through its national CSR program - "Together for each and everyone" supported the rehabilitation of Botosana medical unit, Suceava County, which granted free services for 2500 people. The value of support granted by the company reaches 45,000 RON.

 

"Each completed CSR initiative demonstrates that local community members understand that positive changes can only occur with their sustained effort and mobilization. In Botosana, the involvement of health professionals, school representatives, church, local authorities created the preconditions for a sustainable project." - says Alexey Golovin, Communications Director of TRG.

 

The project implemented between August to November with the help of volunteers from the community, involved restoring thermal system by purchasing and installing a solar panel system and a healing system, the medical unit connection to the sewerage system, equipment with modern furniture and tools specific to GP activity (sphygmomanometer, negatoscope, thermometers, scales for adults and infants, forceps, Guyon syringes, trays with lids and so on).

 

A significant component of the project consisted in community seminars on health topics, supported voluntarily by four lecturer-assistants from the Department of Public Health Suceava. Additionally, over 200 adults and children received free tests for blood glucose testing, cholesterol, triglycerides, blood pressure.

 

Upon completion of the project a school competition on healthy lifestyle was organized and 80 students from Botosana were awarded.
