KMG International Group (Group or KMGI) has become the first company in Romania, which was awarded “Standard” accreditation level by CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply). The Certification of this level shows that the Group has robust and professional procurement practices/systems in place and performs world-class services in procurement and supply.
Key business-triggers for processes assessment were such indicators, as efficiency and transparency of procurement processes, spend and risk management, process improvement, professional skills of procurement employees, compliance with globally recognized standards of procurement and supply chain management.
CIPS Experts defined efficiency level of the current activities and identified needs for improvement in certain area.

This certification confirms not only compliance with high corporate standards of KMG International’s procurement function, it also indicates that the Group is reliable and qualitative business partner by operating in accordance with international standards and cutting-edge practices in procurement and supply”, noted Alan Martin, CIPS representative during the award ceremony.
“Initiative of obtaining CIPS qualification was one of the significant corporate objectives of the company for 2018 within the framework of comprehensive review of current business procedures.
During the certification, we studied and corrected areas of procurement department in accordance with international practices and standards, which are reflected in the last updated version of the Group procurement procedure. Improvements affected on entire cycle of procurement process, including procurement planning, suppliers’ selection and performance management, development strategy of the procurement department, which includes automation and process optimization.
We express our gratitude to the CIPS representatives for support to ensure we have high professional standards in procurement and supply chain management.
