The Rompetrol Rafinare Board of Directors appointed Mr. Felix Crudu Tesloveanu in the position of General Manager of the company staring with January 01, 2020. Rompetrol Rafinare is the operator of Petromidia Năvodari and Vega Ploieşti refineries, as well as of the petrochemical division. Felix Crudu Tesloveanu will replace Mr. Yedil Utekov, General Manager of Rompetrol Rafinare between June 2014 and December 2019.

Based on his experience and expertise, Yedil Utekov will remain member of the Board of Directors and will take over the position of Chief Production and Industrial Services Officer within KMG International. On his new position, Mr. Utekov will coordinate the strategies for developing and implementing the state-of-the-art solutions at the level of Group production entities.

Starting with 2020, Felix Crudu Tesloveanu's mission is to continue the upward operational trend of Rompetrol Rafinare. In this regard, the general turnaround of Petromidia refinery is planned in the first part of the year, which will benefit from considerable investments in the modernization, optimization and maintenance of main production units. This is a large-scale project, carried out every 5 years, aimed at increasing the operational capability of the largest refinery in Romania.

Felix Crudu Tesloveanu started his career in 1988 in the operational segment, where he worked for 10 years at the Petromidia refinery. Then he held, in turn, the positions of Station Manager in Constanta, Area Coordinator, Regional Sales Coordinator, Regional Sales Manager, Sales Director, Operations Director and General Manager of Rompetrol Downstream – the retail division of the Group in Romania.

In 2016, he took over the management of the retail branch of the Group in the Republic of Moldova, where he successfully implemented the rebranding program of Rompetrol stations, as well as contributed to the network development program. These key measures have ensured the consolidation of the local distribution activities of fuels, produced by Petromidia Năvodari Refinery.

Subsequently, he was appointed General Manager of Rominserv Valves IAIFO, the last position occupied being Head of COO Office within the Operational Block of the Group.

Between 2014 and 2019 the activity of the production entities registered an upward trend, both from an operational point of view and financial results obtained. Thus, a series of investment programs have been initiated and implemented to align with international trends in the field – implementation and adoption of digital solutions, artificial intelligence to increase profitability, more rigorous control of manufactured products, but also the operational stability of production units and technological flows.

In 2018 the company managed to reach, at the Petromidia refinery, 11 historical records, including processed raw materials (5.92 million tons), petroleum products obtained (5.78 million tons), gasoline production (1.36 million tons), diesel fuel (2.75 million tons), jet (317,000 tons) or the degree of use of the refining capacity (91.98%).

Rompetrol Rafinare is one of the main contributors to the state budget of Romania, paying over 453 million dollars in Q3 2019 and over 1.18 billion dollars in the first 9 months of 2019.

Currently, Petromidia Năvodari refinery is the largest unit of the kind in Romania and one of the most modern and complex in the Black Sea region, while Vega Ploieşti is the longest-standing refinery and sole producer of bitumen and hexane in the country. Through its petrochemical division, Rompetrol Rafinare is the only domestic producers of polymers.

The main shareholders of Rompetrol Rafinare S.A. are KMG International (54.63% - directly and indirectly) and the Romanian State, through the Ministry of Energy (44.7%).
