The Rompetrol Group through The Rompetrol Group Corporate Center – the managing and governing division of the Group, has recently certified its profile activities and operations in accordance with the integrated system of quality management, environment protection, labor health and security. The company has received at the end of the last year from Germanischer Lloyd Certification conformity notices with the quality standard ISO 9001-2008, environment standard ISO 14001-2004, labor health and security standard 18001-2007. “This recognition is the result of a performing management of the business, defined in the quality of the services and efficiency. The sustained effort of our specialists helped us getting this certification in less than a year, but as same as important is that we continue with improving the activitiy, and the system of integrated management could inclusively help the coordinating and managing activity”, declares Marian Nicolae, QHSE Department Director. Compliance to these standards attests an effective level of conducting Company’s businesses, permanent care for the environment and pollution prevention. The certification by default attests the improvement of the modality of carrying out operations and effective costs reduction. At the present moment all companies of the group in Romania have in possession these accreditations, Vega Ploiesti being the first certificated on the local plan refinery and Rompetrol Downstream – the first fuels’ distribution network that have implemented ISO quality standards. As well, Rompetrol Rafinare and Rompetrol Petrochemicals have confirmed through received since 2007 certifications an efficient level of managing the business, continuous care for the environment and pollution prevention.
