Rompetrol Moldova, company of KMG International, recently opened 3 filling stations in Chisinau and Vulcanesti. The company plans to open another station at the end of February, thus reaching a total of 69 filling stations.
Two of the stations are located in Chisinau, on 4 Tudor Vladimirescu street and 2/6 Socoleni street, with the third in the town of Vulcăneşti, on 78 Lenin street. The stations sell both quality fuels produced at the Petromidia refinery (Efix, EfixS, Premium 95 petrol, Euro 5 Diesel), and a wide range of products and services in the station shops. Moreover, Rompetrol Moldova sells LPG in more than half of its stations, a product imported from Kazakhstan.
The opening of the three stations created 27 new jobs.
Rompetrol Moldova has the largest coverage in the city of Chisinau, with half of the total stations being located in the capital, and a leader in this respect as compared with other major players on the petroleum products market of the Republic of Moldova.
In 2014, Rompetrol Moldova opened 6 new stations and 4 station shops. The network expansion in 2014 and the improved average sales per stations led to an approximately 39% increase of sales in Rompetrol Modova stations from the previous year and an increase of market share by around 35%.
Besides filling stations, 4 of which sell LPG only, the company also maintains a storage facility in Chisinau, an LPG storage facility in the Târnova village, in Donduşeni, and 20 station shops.
In 2014, Rompetrol Moldova paid import tax and VAT in amount of more than USD 31 million, as well as social security and health insurance contributions in amount of approximately USD 926,000.
According to Customs Office data, Rompetrol Moldova was the third largest importer from the Republic of Moldova in 2014.
Rompetrol Moldova plans to expand its network of filling stations and upgrade current stations before the end of 2015, including opening 8 new station shops, which would strengthen its position as a leader of the Moldovan market.
Rompetrol Moldova has been present on the local market since 2002 and has more than 600 employees. It is also the first oil company of the Republic of Moldova which complies with the ISO international standards, being awarded the quality, environment and occupational safety management certification in 2012.
