Rominserv Valves IAIFO Zalău won two acquisition of products tenders organized by Emerson, through its branches in Hungary - Central and Eastern European Procurement Organization (CEEPO) and France - Leroy Somer.

The value of the two contracts is about 322.000 Euro.

After wining of the first tender, the factory in Zalău will produce 27 types of semi finished products (valves, pistons, fittings) for gearing systems. The second tender was for the production of engine and electrical generators parts. All components are to be delivered this year.

In the near future we will participate in other tenders as well, the factory in Zalău is currently one of the famous in its branch on the market, not only due to the important contracts drawn, but also to the numerous types of products for the domestic and international markets,” declares Dan Folescu, Rominserv Valves IAIFO Zalău director.

Presently, Rominserv Valves IAIFO Zalău is in final stage negotiations for the conclusion of partnerships with Snamprogetti and Saipem (Italy), Bechtel (USA), Danfoss (Danemark), Technip (France), Georg Fisher (Switzerland), Gildemeister (Germany) and Herz (Austria). The factory in Zalău is already one of the industrial valves and semi finished moulded products suppliers accepted by these company, after having successfully overcome the appraisal and technical pre-qualification stages.

Rominserv – general contractor of The Rompetrol Group took over in 2004 the IAIFO Zalău valves factory. Apart from the basic products of the former IAIFO, Rominserv Valves IAIFO Zalău is manufacturing products upon beneficiaries’ specifications, thus having an important market advantage.

Emerson company is market leader in industrial technologies in 150 countries. Last year, Emerson set up a new branch, CEEPO, headquartered in Budapest. CEEPO’s target is to find suppliers in central and East-European regions for its factories in Western Europe. The center developed very rapidly; CEEPO has at the moment branches in the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Ukraine.
