Rompetrol brand, owned by KMG International, will extend the support offered for weightlifting federations in the countries where the Group carries out its activities, encouraging the development and the high performance in this type of sport.

We feel it is our social obligation to sustain the evolution of sport, as we consider that business and sports have close connections, because it takes dedication and hard work to get good results in both. Thus, KMG International through Rompetrol brand is extending the geography of the support for weightlifting in the countries in which the company carries out its activities. We are planning to sign six more sponsorship and marketing agreements with different federations in the region, namely Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Turkey”, stated Omar Mustafin, managing director for Government Relations, KMG International.
KMG International has been a constant supporter of Romanian, Georgian and Kazakh Weightlifting Federations. Starting May 2017, the CEO of KMG International and the president of Kazakh Weightlifting Federation, Zhanat Tussupbekov, was elected vice president of the International Weightlifting Federation.

The members of the IWF Executive Committee and committee experts gathered at for one of the most important sessions for the present and the future of this sport that has gained a steady place in the Olympic Games, a century before.
