The Rompetrol Group, through his social responsibility program – “Together for each and everyone”, sustained the rehabilitation of the paediatric neurology and neuropshychomotric recovery section of the “Dr. Gh. Preda” Psychiatry Hospital in Sibiu. The total value of the funds allocated is RON 50.000.

The pavilion of the “Dr. Gh. Preda” Psychiatry Hospital, in which the paediatric neurology and neuropshychometric recovery sections operate, was opened in 1985 and did not benefit previously from any donations for repair works. The project spanned between August 1st and September 25th, 2010 and aimed at the rehabilitation of the two sections facing a high degree of deterioration (exfoliated walls, deteriorated wooden doors and windows etc.). Thus 17 wards have been renovated and modernized through the replacement of doors and windows, thermal insulation and the painting of the walls with washable paint and of the pedestals with alkyd paint, laying antibacterial and thermally insulating linoleum on an area of 280 sqm.
The rehabilitation works have been performed with the help of 70 volunteers (employees of the two sections, their families, the parents of the hospitalised children) who also got involved in the project promotion and in the organisation of some health-related seminars.
The direct beneficiaries of these modernization works are the approximately 1700 paediatric neurology and neuropshychometric recovery sections, as well as the 68 employyes representing the medical and auxiliary staff of the two sections.

The modernization of the Dr. Gh. Preda” Psychiatry Hospital” is the second project in Sibiu supported in 2010 by the Rompetrol Group through the program “Together for each and everyone”, besides the “Modernization of the Pneumology II Section of the Pneumophtisiology Hospital”.
