Rompetrol Downstream - the retail division of the KMG International Group in Romania, recently opened two new integrated service centers on the A1 Highway (Nadlac - Sibiu section), near the town of Recas in Timis County (km 481+646 left and right).
The investment required for the construction of the two gas stations amounted approximately 6.3 million dollars. These two gas stations are part of a package of 12 gas stations that Rompetrol will open on the A1 Highway. The total investment for the 12 centers is estimated at over 40 million dollars, being provided by the Kazakh-Romanian Energy Investment Fund.
"Rompetrol respects its commitment and continues to expand the network of integrated service spaces on A1 highway, one of the busiest roads in the country. We have opened to the public, in the last four months, ten of the 12 stations we planned for this highway section, and the rest will be completed in the next period. Thus we provide travelers with a vast space where they can fuel their car and relax enjoying a coffee, in the hei&coffee stations, such as those in Recas, or a hot meal at the gas stations that operate under the hei coffee&gourmet brand", said Bauyrzhan Nugumanov, the General Manager of Rompetrol Downstream.
The first four gas stations on the A1, located near the towns of Pecica and Orastie, were inaugurated in March. Two others, near Sagu (Arad County) are opened and will be officially inaugurated in the next period. A month ago, two stations were inaugurated near Giarmata (Timiş), and two others will work near Cristian (Sibiu County).
Each new station on the highway employs between 45 and 65 people, and the interior area is between 430 and 600 square meters, three times more than an average gas station. Drivers have six Efix fuel points, a fast diesel pump for large vehicles, LPG, an AdBlue pump, shop, cafe, terrace, green space, parking lots. Six of the 12 stations on the A1 are equipped with a restaurant.
There are also four fast charging stations for electric cars at each station.
The total area of the service spaces is generous, between 21,000 and 35,000 square meters. Rompetrol is open to partnerships especially with local producers in the regions, where the gas stations were built and is ready to set up outdoor spaces for them to be able to sell their products in the most rigorous safety conditions.
