Rompetrol supports the World Junior Chess Championship that takes place in Constanta September 5-17 with the participation of over 650 competitors from 72 countries, under the patronage of the International Chess Federation FIDE.
„We have been supporting education through internship and vocational programs, scholarships for the professional development of young people in our communities for over 20 years. Moreover, during the pandemic, we became partners of the Chess in a School project, through which we address young people at the national level from urban and rural areas and advocate for the introduction of this sport of the mind as a subject of study in schools. The Constanta championship brings together hundreds of talented young players, and, indirectly, promotes this city and Romania in the circuit of international tournaments" - Iskander Abdibaitov, Chief Corporate Development Officer.
Through the national program „Chess in school” Rompetrol contributed to the printing and distribution of over 20.000 chess manuals for children at the national level, over 100 professionals are involved, over 15.000 hours of chess were taught in partnership with the schools from rural and urban areas and school inspectorates.

In the field of social responsibility, in 2021-2022 the company invested more than 2.5 million USD in health and environmental protection projects. Among the ongoing projects in 2022 in Constanta we would like to mention - the provision of ophthalmology medical equipment for the medical room in Corbu commune, the provision of the equipment for the gynecology room for the medical health center in Navodari of the Constanta County Hospital, but also modernization works for sheltered housing from Lazu, in the DGASPC administration, etc.
