The Rompetrol Group launches the third edition of its corporate social responsibility program- "Together for each and everyone", for the development and involvement of local communities by initiating, supporting and developing projects in the field of healthcare or environmental protection.

"Continuing this program after two years of very good results - 36 projects implemented, approx. 200,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries - is a natural step forward taken by a responsible company concerned with the development of communities in which we operate. Through this program we want to encourage NGOs, local authorities, public institutions to find solutions to environmental and health problems which exist at local level, and with the support of Rompetrol, their proposals will be implemented for the benefit of the whole community. Also, these projects ensure the necessary requirements for strengthening the community by attracting and involving inhabitants and relevant authorities in carrying out similar projects in other fields", declares Gavit Kurkimov, Business Development VicePresident of the Rompetrol Group.

"Together for each and everyone" is a community involvement program through which NGOs, local authorities, persons with a civic attitude and entrepreneurial spirit, may initiate and implement a project in the field of health or environmental protection, meant to develop the communities to which they belong. Projects can be submitted between 21 April – 29 May 2011.
The eligible activities in the health area projects are: the refurbishment, rehabilitation and/or equipping of the medical service units and of the auxiliary public health activities units, and in the environmental protection projects case: the preservation and maintenance/improvement of the existing local environment conditions through different activities. In order to have an eligible project, the allocated budget cannot exceed 45.000 RON (~ 11,000 euro).

The winners will be selected on the basis of a public vote on the facebook page of the program and website (weighted 25%) and the votes of a jury composed of Rompetrol representatives and NGO specialists (weighted 75%). Upon the evaluation of registered projects, the jury will consider the social motivation and local impact will be taken into account, the number of persons influenced by the respective problem, the number of volunteers in the community who will get involved in the problem solving. Also, the applicant must set a partnership formalised together with the local authorities and prove the long term common commitment to the development and preservation of the results of the project that makes the object of the application.

The winners will be announced on June 30, after the assessment and on-site evaluation period of the submitted projects, and the implementation must be done by the end of October 2010.

In 2009 and 2010, 600 projects applied for financing on the platform "Together for each and everyone" and 36 local communities from 20 counties received funds for their projects implementation (21 in the field of healthcare, 15 in the field of environment protection). The budget invested by the Rompetrol Group in these projects exceeded 500,000 euro.
