The Rompetrol Group continues to support the most important event that promotes Romania’s cultural identity – international festival George Enescu, that is at its XXI edition.

The festival which runs from September 1 to 28 includes a variety of performances in four prestigious locations in Bucharest and in other 8 cities throughout the country. Among the activities Rompetrol has contributed to, there are two concerts by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Palace on 27 and 28 September, conducted by Andrew Litton and Cristian Mandeal. "George Enescu" festival, which takes place every two years, was established in 1958 as a sign of recognition of Enescu's genius, as an homage to the life and works of the great Romanian composer. The first edition of this festival and contest gathered names of international music life of his time, among them were the Yehudi Menuhin, David Oistrach, Sviatoslav Richter and Herbert von Karajan.
