The Rompetrol Group supports four isolated villages in Vrancea and Buzau counties by donating fuel that will be used by local authorities in activities of clearing the roads from snow. The value of the aid reaches 7,000 USD.
“It is our moral duty to support communities affected by heavy snowfalls this month. Solidarity and unity that characterize The Rompetrol Group are again demonstrated with this humanitarian campaign. This initiative is part of our corporate social responsibility platform Energy comes from the heart which is designated to provide support to communities that face social problems”, declares Alexey Golovin, The Rompetrol Group Communication and Marketing Director.
The beneficiary villages – Mărăcineni, Luciu, Vadu Paşii in Buzău and Dumitreşti in Vrancea county have been severely affected by massive snowfalls in February and many inhabitants remained without resources, necessary for the every-day dwelling. The goods will be sent on the 17th of February to local collecting centers of the Ministry of National Defense and will be further transported to the isolated localities.
The Rompetrol Group is actively involved in social responsibility projects through its platform The Energy comes from the heart, comprising the national program Together for each and everyone and other separate projects in the field of environmental protection and healthcare.
