"The Group pays a great importance to the expansion and consolidation of the international presence by opening new channels of representation of its activities in Romania and in the countries where we are present in the Black Sea region. "Said Mihaela Ungar, Group Corporate Affairs Director at KMG International.

Established in 2011 and with offices in Bucharest and Brussels, CRE groups over 20 representative energy companies in Romania, covering all areas - extraction, production, transport and distribution of electricity, oil and gas, energy services and design.

CRE's objectives are to ensure a business-friendly environment and to boost competitiveness for the Romanian energy sector, while developing dialogue and cooperation between member companies and relevant national and European authorities and institutions active in energy policy.

Also, the energy diplomacy component of the association is completed in 2016 with the official representation of Romania and the co-ordination of the Center for Dialogue and Cooperation in Energy, within the China-Central and Eastern Europe cooperative format called suggestively "16 + 1".

KMG International is the first petroleum company (refining, trading, fuel distribution) to join the Romanian Energy Center.

Fully owned by the Republic of Kazakhstan National Oil and Gas Company, KazMunayGas, KMG International is an oil group headquartered in Amsterdam, which owns and carries out major operations in refining, petrochemicals, retail and trading on 11 core markets.

The fuel distribution network includes 1,100 distribution points in Georgia, Bulgaria, Moldova and Romania - where the Group also has two refineries - Petromidia Năvodari and Vega Ploieşti.
